A painful skin rash caused by the Varicella zoster virus is called Shingles. This Skin Rash usually appears in a strip, a band or a small area on one side of the body or face. This skin rash is also called herpes zoster.

You can be getting sensitive to light or may have a headache.

Sometimes you may feel that you have got flue but not fever.

Later, you can feel tingling, pain or itching in some area.

After sometimes these rashes changes into collection of blisters. Then these blisters fill with liquid and crust over. These blisters need 2 to 3 weeks to cure and sometimes it leaves scars.

Sometimes you can feel very weak, or could get pain or rash in your face for long time. Or you can get a spreading rash on your face. If you observe any symptom of this kind then immediately concern your doctor.
